Adhesive manufacturer Cold-adhesive and belt repair agents are commonly used for on-site belt repairs; they are cold-vulcanizing adhesives designed for rapid belt restoration. Sometimes they’re used together, and sometimes they’re used individually. Specifically, what are the differences between them?

1. Although both viscose and belt repair agents are two-component cold-applied adhesives based on water, their mixed forms differ.
After mixing, the cold adhesive becomes liquid and easily penetrates the surface of the belt when applied. In contrast, the belt repair agent, once mixed, takes on a paste-like consistency, allowing it to be used at any angle without easily flowing.
2. Cold-adhesive glue Different from how belt repair agents are used.
Cold glue, as an adhesive, cannot be used alone and is often employed in conjunction with RIT tape repair strips for on-site repair applications involving tape application. The repair strip itself can be used independently, and fill-in repair treatments can be carried out even without the need for additional materials.
3. Cold adhesive and belt repair agents have different application ranges.
Cold adhesives are suitable for local or large-scale repairs of belt damage, abrasions, and tears. Belt repair agents are generally used for localized filling of dents, tears, or seams in belts.
